Ghost3021 was here :p

Back on track(06/02/06)

After a small break for school, real life, and the such, the Bloblet Crew is back on track...unfortunately Sanastro had to depart from us for some unfortunate reasons. Good luck with your future projects, Sana. On a slightly more positive note, Oszero has been helping me with netcode testing, and the weapons have now reached an acceptable state for me to begin mapping again. Onward!

Tests (02/20/06)

A very special class that can detect and alter light settings based off of your CPU clock is nearly complete. Mappage goes slow, but code and such continue at a steady rate. Also, there is a possibility of XepptizZ joining as a modeller. Yay!

Tests (02/05/06)

New mutator is almost done. The HUD also now supports DeathMatch and Team Deathmatch. Progress is movin right along.

Weapons and How They Will Work. (01/30/06)

As I'm sure most of you know by now, I don't intend for the original Unreal weapons to stay in their...weird form.
Let me rephrase that.
One of the things that ALWAYS got me about the ASMD was that you can shoot it in / into / under water, and nothing special would happen. That is something I intend to change. Another weird thing was how (with the exception of the Automag) you could relentlessly empty your ammo stores on baddies. This also made absolutely no sense to me.
An overview of the altered weapons is in order, I think.

Dispersionpistol: 60 charge max, ammo-based projectile. The lower the cell, the less damage your projectiles do.
Automag: Will not be making an appearence. Sorry, but there will be other (new) weapons to replace it's functionality.
Stinger: Has been reduxed into the Combat Stinger. Has a 40 shot clip, which can be upgraded twice to a 80 shot total clip. Also has upgradable projectiles.
ASMD: Has a 10 shot clip AND a heat limit. Firing too much at one time will overheat the ASMD, sending it into a 10 second cooldown state leaving you helpess against attack. Possible upgrades include larger clip and less heat per shot. Another new thing; shooting into a water area will damage all actors in that area with the hit damage, but firing it underwater will completely destroy everything. (In the water :p)
Eightball: Will remain mostly unchanged, with the exception of the 12 rocket clip.
FlakCannon: Like the Eightball, the FlakCannon will remain mostly unchanged with the exception of the clip. Hozah to Epic/DE for getting these two right! Surprised
Razorjack: Has optained heavy upgrades. Razorblades now last way longer, move much faster, and do fatal doses of damage if they hit the head. The Razorjack has a 15 blade clip, which can be upgraded.
GESBioRifle: Like the Automag, will not be seen in SkaarjOps except in the hands of the enemy. Don't worry, there is an excellent replacement waiting Smile.
Rifle: Whoah! The first bullet weapon to be upgraded, the Rifle has taken on huge improvements. First off, the bullets do far more damage to essential limbs and such, second off, the bullets can be upgraded to do a number of usefull things, and third off, a 5 shot clip has been added which , like the bullets, can be upgraded. The Rifle is now a far better sniping weapon.
Minigun: The only other weapon that can overheat, the Minigun is now one of the most powerfull weapons you can acquire for your arsenal. 150 round clip, very high heat limit, accuracy based on the weapon's heat , and location-based damage bullet projectiles make this weapon quite formidable. Tracers are an optional upgrade :p.

Tests (01/27/06)

After doing some LAN testing with the upgraded weapons last night, I'm proud to say there's only a few small bugs, mainly with the ASMD and Minigun. The new bullet system doesn't *seem* too lagy, but I'll probably just add trace-hit support for netplay.
